Speakers?

Anyone have suggestions for extremely portable yet powerful high quality dream-like speakers one could pack around with an iBook? :)
 
Well, do you want high power and dream-like quality or portability?

Because you only get one, really.
 
You could get any number of batter powered speakers but you lose something in both portability and sound quality, but you get a boost from the average speakers you find in a laptop computer. Get the ones with the volume control on one speaker and the built in amp (they have an led to indicate power usage.)
 
Ear buds would be your best bet, unless of course you want to share your auditory experiences with the masses.

I use the kind that loop over the ear, and they are awesomnal. The logos on the sides are worn, but it looks like either "KDSE" or "KOSE". In either case, the cord attaches right to the bud; it doesn't go through the ear clip. That's what I recommend.
 
actually I really did want speakers. I guess it7s too much to ask.

Okay, how about this.

What do I need to hook my laptop up to a stereo and pipe the music out that?

Or, what about my iPod for that matter?
 
Well, consider this.

Most really good speakers require their own power source. The ones that don't do not sound very good, so we'll say you need powered speakers. Unfortunately, these are for your laptop, so you won't always be in a place where you can plug in, so you'd need speakers powered by the computer. Essentially, you'll have a hard time finding really good speakers with no strings attached (literally).
