Speed Download 2 question

Randman

HA! HA! HA!
I have the latest version of speed download but have found an annoyance I can't seem to get rid of. Everytime I download something, I get an eyeball of some sorts in my menu bar. It's ugly and I don't like it  and I don't need it up there, but I can't find how to get rid of it permanently. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers. :)

You can set the visibility in Preferences -> MacShareware

I personally find it very useful, because it tells me when some of the items from my watchlist have been updated...

SD2 doesn't have the visibility option under macshareware, but I did try and put it to never to see if that works....

Nope, as soon as I launched it, that annoying menu bar globe came back up.
Anyone else with any ideas?

I have a check box named 'Show Update Menu' in Preferences->MacShareware. If I uncheck the box, the globe never appears.

Try trashing your SD2 preferences and see if that works... Are you using the 2.3 version?
