SSL-wrapped mail server

Has anyone attempted to do an SSL-wrapped mail server?

I would like to do open ssl, postfix, and qpopper for the ssl support, smtp, and pop3 daemons (respectively).

Has anyone compiled this TLS/SSL extension for postfix?

Is there anything in the qpopper admin guide regarding SSL that doesn't pertain to Mac OS X?

I have all the components in place and functional, now it's just a matter of getting them all to play nicely together. Anyone who's done this before and has some advice for me, it would be most appreciated.

What about just setting up an SSL tunnel from some port to localhost:25 on the mailserver?

This is ultimately what I arrived at:
SMTP
stunnel wrapped SMTP with Postfix. Sendmail-tls was just too much of a monstrosity to manage.

POP3
Qpopper has a configure option during compile: --with-openssl

So you can do it that route, or just compile per my instructions in this thread:

then wrap the POP connection with stunnel.
