starting again with osx 10.5 leopard

I am trying to load leopard 10.5 on a machine that was boughtfrom an auction ihave the original 10.5 osx disk but holding the c button is not working the computer has passwords preventing me from logging in iknow the machine has osx 10.5.7 installed i just want to start fresh with the 10.5 disk i have can any1 help (computer is 20 inch imac dual core aluminium body)
