startup background screen

Is there any way to change the plain blue screen behind the boot screen? I don't think its possible, but blue doesn't match my current color scheme

Look for a PrefPane called <b>Visage</b>, I know it meddles with screens : boot screens / etc.

I have that, I don't think it does this though.

Also, my monitor keeps on switching back to thousands when I want it on Millions.

I don't like xaquintoshs avatar for only one reason:
It blinks too much.

If you put the blink rate down to, let's say every two seconds, it wouldn't be that disturbing.

Whatever picture is in this location with this name it will appear as the login screen background image.
