I have a series problem on my dual G4 with 1 slot of 512Mb ram and 2 slot of 128Mb ram. I using OS X 10.3.9. I can't startup the system at normal mode and using the OS X installer CD. At starting up the computer, the apple logo appear and the process wheel turning around few second, then blue screen occurs and nothing happens. I can only startup with safe mode. I tried repair permissions and repair disk by disk utility. I do the whole test with Techtools, the result is ok. After that the system still can't startup.
Finally, I format the harddisk. Because I still can't startup with OSX installer CD, I have create a disk image from my powerbook G3 (OSX 10.3.9) and restore to the dual G4 by target disk mode. The whole progress is fine all the files tranfer to the G4 successfully. Unfortunely, it still doesn't work. And I tried to reset the PRam (I search from this forum) it still can't startup, it only startup at safe mode.
Can anyone help me for that please?:(

The first thing I do when things go this bad is to remove the memory, brush off the contacts (gently, oh so gently), and then reseat it. Your harddrive is checking out ok so I would begin to eliminate other hardware issues. You can also pull out both 128 megs memory cards to see if one of them is the problem, then switch with the 512, etc.
