(This is the second time I have this problem the first time I completely erased my HD and made a re-installation.)
I have a PB G3 pismo.
After installation of OS X 10.1.5 everything works fine for a few weeks. But then some kind of file seems to get corrupt....
My PB gets verry slow, I lose a lot of preferences. And finely he wont wake from sleep. The first few times it helps to re start.
After a while even that wont help. The computer boots up completely but the screen stays black.
Starting up with alt does not help or any other key combination.
Zapping pram wont work resetting the power manager does not change a thing, If I'm lucky to boot up and go to open firmware than reset-all does not change a thing at all.
(Could it be that a one time faulty use of my scsi cardbus triggered it? I think I did put it in the computer without the proper driver installed and the system got slower from that point on.)
If I got lucky to set the startup disk to boot in OS 9 than I got no problems at all.
