Startup Sound

[Total Konfuzion]

Okay.....I think I almost gave myself a heartattack. I went to turn on my machine for the first time after installing 10.2 and I didn't hear the apple chime.....when you first press the power on button(iBook). So i pressed it again and it shutdown, of course i thought it wasn't starting up...but after waiting a few seconds, it does power on. My question is, is the startup chime bell sound gone in 10.2?

god, i'm such a newbie....i knew that was programmed into the firmware or something.....my volume was all the way down, rofl. Nevermind, I have lots to learn =/ Damnit@being a pc tech.
