still waiting for PB17" 1.67 - 2 weeks!

I've had a 17" powerbook 17" powerbook on order for 2 weeks weeks with an apple reseller here in the UK, they are telling me they are awaiting delivery from Apple - are they pulling the wool over my eyes? I keep telling them that apple are stating 3/4 days on their web site but they tell me they alwaysover promise and under deliver??????

but they reckon that even though apple are stating 2 days, they are actually not able to deliver in two days.

I'm having the same problem in Namibia. Ordered a 15" PB; initially had to wait 4 weeks with the PB coming from the US. Now the story changes, have to wait till April!!!! So I've cancelled and ordered from Singapore...will be here in 10 days. By the way, is there a major difference with system and h.ware configuration if the computer is sourced from an Asian source?

Pretty much the same as all the Powerbooks/iBooks are made in Taiwan or China.

apple generally take bloody ages to build and ship. my ipod (made in china) got shipped to belgium before being shipped to the netherlands before being dispatched to newcastle before getting to my door some 6 weeks after i ordered it. my G5 took even longer. it's here now though...
