Stop Safari "Recent History List"

Is there a way to stop the annoying "Recent History List" that sometimes pops up when you click the Back Button in Safari?
 
Hi Primavera!

If you click and hold on the [Back] button in Safari, it will show you a list of the previously visited pages, but if you just click on it, it will just go back to the previous page. It's not anything that can be changed.

Try clicking more quickly.
