Stratup disk help needed...

I am running 10.1.4. I thought I would be able to boot up off my 10.1 disk which I can't. Apple told me to check with some forums and they would be able to help. I really need to make a start up disk. I have tried to throw over the system and library folders on to my external hard drive but that does not work. Any suggustions or site that would explain would be greatly appreicated.

I'd suggest trying Carbon Copy Cloner... you can find it on versiontracker.

I just looked on versiontracker for Carbon Copy Cloner. Couldn't find anything matching that name in the search function - is there another name for it, or do you have the manufacturer's name?

If you are in OS 9, you can boot straight into OS X by holding the X key.
