Stuck at grey screen at startup (Urgent!)

A day ago, when i shut it down, my MacBook (version 10.4.11) got stuck on the blue screen and would not shut down untill I held down the power button. Then, today, thw screensver activated but when I woke it up, it was unresponsive. I let it be. I came back to it later, and when I woke it up, whatever I clicked came up. So, I forced shut it down. Now, it wont start up. It gets stuck on the grey screen and the apple doesn't show up. The fan kicks in, but thats it. I DO NOT have any disks. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You need either the OS X disk or a utility disk like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior to start up the book and run the utility to see what is causing the problem.
