So Recently I have this issue where when I am connected to the base station wireless I get download speeds of 5Mb but when I connect direct via Cat 6 I get 15Mb. It used to be fine I would get 15-20Mb when wireless. I did some testing with a 100MB image. I transferred the image to several locations on my network both wired and wireless and timed the transfer. The difference in transfer speeds between wired and wireless was ver minimal so it doesnt seem to be an internal network issue.
My setup is a Verizon Fios Cable/modem/router that I have configured to pass the IP to the airport which is configured for DHCP for my devices. I ran a scan of nearby networks and made sure that all my channels and freq's where all different than every one else, I have turned robustness off and on with no change, I have done several hard resets, and I am lost. What could cause the wireless speed to be soo slow? I used to download itunes movies in a matter of minutes now it wants almost 2 hours unless I connect a Cat 6 cable direct to the airport???
