Superdrive wont read and write after canceling burning

hello,i just had this problem today and it very annoying

my superdrive wont read some data dvds that were READABLE before
but the mac install dvd is readable though

it happened after i CANCELED to burn a dvd via toast titanium after its STUCK for hours
i just cant help it

and now i just figured out that my superdrive wont burn dvd too!!!!
help me please
i have this mac book pro for more than a year,so its not under warranty..

i tried everything suggested,but it didnt work..

i tried resetting PRAM and SMC..

i tried to insert cleaning DVD too..

i called Apple,and they say it's a hardware problem and they'll charge me to change it..

and i dont want to pay no more after so many problems i had with this machine..

for ur info,my superdrive recognizes DVD-DL but cant burn it.While wont read DVD-R at all.All that DVDs were burnable and readable before!!

unbelievably,i tried to burn a CD,and it still work!!!

do i have to fresh install my OSX?
