Switched macs for target disc mode

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to install Snow Leopard on the first generation MacBook pro (1.1, core duo) which didn't work out. I then decided to try and boot the Mac Book Pro from my Powerbook G4 (last generation, 1.67 GHz, December 2005).
I connected both with a firewire cable and started the MacBook Pro by holding down "T" and the PowerBook by holding down the option key. I got a very nineties looking screen, which had a refresh button, a disk icon and an arrow facing to the right. I clicked the arrow and a grey screen with the apple icon and the loading wheel appeared. I then got nervous because I realized I had made a mistake and turned both off immediately. Now my PowerBook will not boot anymore. If I switch it on it freezes with a grey screen + the apple icon + loading wheel. How bad is this mess and can I fix it?

Thanks.

PS I received an answer from a tech earlier today and received this response:

I've never heard of this situation before, but I can't believe that what you described hurt your Mac.

I'd start up and reset the PRAM - Immediately on hearing the gong sound, press and hold command-option-p-r (yes, all 4 at once) until you hear another gong sound.
