System Preferences not loading all panes

For the past few days, I haven't been able to access the Sharing pane in System Preferences. When I try to open it, I get this error message: "The application System Preferences has unexpectedly quit. The system and other applications have not been affected." How can I go about fixing this?

Any advice would be of great assistance.

Thanks,

Before using Pacifist, try trash this file and restarting;

com.apple.systempreferences.plist

Thank you both. I've tried both of your suggestions - starting with that of bobw - but sadly, neither worked.

Maybe I didn't do the Pacifist thing right: was I suppose to completely delete my preferences before reinstalling them, or just overwrite the exsisting software?

Thanks,

I would trash these files;

SharingPref.prefPane
com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist

Then try it.

If this doesn't help, replace that Preference Pane. If you have a backup, use that or try Pacifist to get it off the CD. If you have problems, email me and I'll send it to you.
