This is actually a poll, I'm thinking about starting up an RC5 team for us. What is RC5 you ask? It's the same idea as Seti@Home .. but cooler I think. You basically download a small app that uses extra CPU cycles to break a 64-bit encrypted code.
You sign up with a Team, and the team that 'wins' gets $1000, which we would use to buy Mac prizes for the top 3 users and the rest would be donated to MacOSX.com
Let me know if you guys would be interested. The app is rather small and I believe it can be hidden so you don't have it sitting in your dock or anything. Here's a couple links to read about it:
http://www.distributed.net/rc5/
http://team.macnn.com/rc5/
If we decide to do this, I would setup a webpage (or possibly a forum?) where we would keep track of our Team and our members.
