I have successfully installed X11, OOo and MacGimp (using the binary installers) but MacGimp didn't go down without a fight. now my terminal opens up with the message:

Welcome to Darwin!
/usr/share/init/tcsh/rc: No such file or directory.
>

Is this a problem? How do i fix it?

Also, I understand thet the Gimp installer does bad things if you want to use Fink, so I want to delete the /sw folger, install Fink, and re-install Gimp using fink. How do I delete the /sw folder?

Thanks,
Frank

The first message isn't anything to worry about. You could simply create a blank file at /usr/share/init/tcsh/rc to clear the message. Or, you could just ignore it, as its harmless.

To delete the /sw directory, type:
sudo rm -rf /sw
you will be prompted for your user password (you must be an admin to do this)
