Hallo.
I actually found one of those rare Apple Set Top Boxes. In a container, even! The problem is: it seems some parts are missing. According to a site dedicated to the Set Top Box, there is supposed to be a red chip inside the box. However, where that chip is supposed to be, my box has an empty hole.
I'm assuming the lamers who threw it away took out the red chip because it seemed valuable. After all, it has a different color than your average chip.
So what I was wondering was - is this red chip something that Apple has used in some other device? Or am I going to have to find another Set Top Box to be able to fix this one? My head will explode if I have found something as cool as a Set Top Box and I can't fix it because some lamers took the most important part!
Thank you.
