The Gates

JPigford

I'm awesome...seriously..
Well. I'm not sure what to make of this. I generally can appreciate any form of art but have mixed feelings about this.

7,500 "gates" all identical spread out across Central Park. The only reason I might could appreciate this is due to the shear size/number of these things.

This thing came from the same people who wrapped The Reichstag in 1,076,000 square feet of fabric.

In the UK, we have a cretin called Damien Hirst, over whom the poncified, under-employed "in-crowd" constantly fawn. This idiot believes that a cow, cut in half, is art.

At least "Gates" displays a modicum of original thinking!
