Go to http://www.apple.com/hardware/video/newimac_intro.html and choose the appropriate size for your connection. Then just watch the first part of the movie. You'll get exactly what I mean.

(By the way, if you have a broadband connection, I highly suggest getting the high quality one. It's just so much better.)

When I saw this at the keynote, I was just laughing my head off.

(On another note, this video really shows off the flat screen. It truly shows everything it's capable of, position-wise. Pay attention to the Apple logo on the front -- it helps orient you, since the background is all white.)

and simX... i posted this in another thread... where did you sit? i was pretty much in the center (in front of the big screen) about 5-6 rows from the front...

Oh, sorry. I was way in the back, since I had only a measly Users Conference I pass and not a Press pass. And I also didn't get there insanely early (only around 7:30 AM, and there was a pretty long line already), so I didn't get that great of a seat (but at least I got one! ). I could easily see the TV display suspended from the ceiling, and I could see the stage if I straightened up, so it wasn't too bad at all.

Of course, I can't wait until tomorrow to actually see and fiddle with that new iMac's flat-panel display. Oh, and get a poster too, to annoy my PC physics teacher at my former high school.

i, unfortunately, am back in ohio... long plane ride... i wish i could have stayed, but because of school, work, and everything else, there's no way i could stay... but I had the most fun in a long time at that keynote...
