Throatling 4 Internet Lines

I am looking to start hosting my own site that is a higher traffic site. The problem that there are no internet connections in our area that is able to give us that high of an upload for a cost that is within the reasonable range.

I have a company that is willing to bring 4 internet lines into building but what I need to do now is make it act as one massive internet connection. Does this have to do with the computer or a 3rd party solution?

Why not send your machine away to a co-location facility? They tend to have fast, stable Internet connections, and often also air conditioning, UPS units, and staff to handle tasks that require a physical presence.

What you're describing is not throttling, but bonding, or maybe multi-homing. That's technically possible, if your ISP supports it. But it's a bit of a headache to set up, especially if your budget doesn't include the fancy business-class router that supports load-balancing and fail-over.

I don't think MacOS or Windows comes with the necessary software for useful multihoming. I don't know about the other OS. Technically, it should be possible, but I'm not aware of any program to do the load-balancing router stuff. Again, you should discuss this with your ISP.

LINKSYS has a vpn router with 2 wan ports (rv042), which can be shared. This could double up the connection (if balanced perfectly). Maybe this or something like that can help you out.

Good luck, Kees
