Thunderbird on Mac

Hi guys, the company's manager had a problem with his mail account in Mail so we had to take their mail to Thunderbird, everything works fine but there's a little problem when he opens an attatchment; with other e-mail clients when you open an attatchemnt it opens and that's all but with Thunderbird it makes a copy of the file in desktop as if they were saved. I've been looking for an option in preferences but I can't find anything related to this.
Any idea?

You have given no useful information with which to diagnose the company manager's problem:

  • What kind of account is it? POP3? IMAP? Exchange? Something else?
  • Is the problem unique to the manager or do other Mac users experience it?
  • Is the problem exclusive to Mac users or do some Windows users also experience it?
 
Is an IMAP account it only happens with Thunderbird running in Mac the rest of the users at the company runs Windows and Thunderbird as e-mail client both POP/IMAP with no problems at all. I tried this at other mac and the result was the same.
