SETUP

WIN2K Server + ISDN dialup with Internet sharing.
:LAN HUB

- WIN2K Workstation: works fine
- G4 Os9.2.2: works fine
- G5 DP2.7 OsX 10.4.1: File sharing with server fine, Internet Bandwidth close to nothing.

Tiger: I can access the W2K server without problems. I can transfer files without problems. BUT. Internet access goes only up to 2 Kb/sec DL and 0.5 Kb/sec UL. I DO have connection but it's very slow.

The other systems work as usual. fine.

Tiger: DHCP + Manual IP on internal Ethernet.
I've Airport extreme installed but disabled.

any suggestions???
TIA!
cheers

How fast is your local network transfer between tiger and winxp? If it's fast as it should be (7mb/sec for 100mbit) you might have some packet losses. Turn off QoS (or so) and any firewalls on your winxp and test 'ping www.test.com' over your tigers terminal.

Transfer speed ok. Windows 2000. Firewalls disabled. Everything! :(
Pings around 70 to 150, no losses.

This is how the Tiger traffic (Eudora, sending an 140Kb attachment) displays on the Win2000 as router.
It's Byte/sec, so there are always a few seconds gap between the traffic.

I found a post suggesting I add back DNS server numbers following a Security Update from Apple. When I did my internet speed was returned to normal.
I made changes in the TCP IP area of Networking under System Preferences.

Good luck...Also I plan on adding a 512 stick of memory to replace the 256 Mb stick.
