I was reading through this list yesterday (sorry I didn't share).
Preview looks like it'll be pretty cool. And I'm not a preview fan either. Lots of interesting things I'm surprised haven't been more publicized. Though there are also some that sound oddly familiar from 10.3.x...

So is Sherlock basically dead then? Looks like the Sherlock components are now mostly Dashboard widgets.
Here's my favorites that I didn't know about:
Finder Slideshow
Quickly create full-screen slideshow of any selected images directly from the Finder.I can actually use this.
All the Preview stuff. Wow, they really got Preview cooking now. Does anyone know if any previously filled and saved form data will load into this Preview? (currently it loads empty) And for that matter, can we save form data with the PDF?
Remote Desktop built in? Nice!
About Font Book: Anyone know if you can view multiple fonts at once? That's really important, but I'd love to dump Suitcase if Font Book can finally perform with thousands of fonts.

If the 'Finder Slideshow' works exactly the same was as the new 'slideshow' function in mail its going to be an amazing 'wow factor' thing.
That is - being able to instantly go to a row of thumbs, add images to iphoto (with the sucking anim) etc etc...
Also - it sounds like image capture will be able to d/load images from bluetooth fones... it will be great to see the thumbnails etc before batch d/loading them... instead of individually having to 'send' or 'get' each image...
Other features of note I didn't know about before...

I think it's kinda funny though the 200+ features, everyone was saying in all the WWDC's home come Steve doesn't go over any other features other than Dashboard, Spotlight, iChat AV, Safari RSS, Automater and H.264.
It seems that most of these 200+ new features all work in Correalation to these 6 Features, or there Branchoffs of the features specifically geared towards items.
I think any of the "Smart" features are well needed and people will be wondering how the heck they did anything w/o the smart folders. lol.

It says that it has XGrid support... Do you have to have a Tiger server running or can i XGrid my iBook and my PM :-D

The tech guy at work, who is totally PC, has commented to me on how he thinks Apple is really kicking A$$. He has been following the latest developments, and thinks OSX is currently ahead of windows, and Tiger is going to distance Apple even further. Yet, he is not ready to get any Macs in the school. He is retiring at the end of this year, and hopefully, I can convince the new guy to get some Macs for the students to use. Especially in the Graphic Design class, and the labs in the High School.

no it isn't. I can choose pictures from iphoto without a problem. i have 10.3 and iLife 04.
The only problem currently (which i hope is fixed)..
I have an iphoto album called Nature that has hi-res images from macdesktops.com (and other sites) of land/sea/sky-scapes
i have this selected, with auto-change turned on (once a day i think)..
but if i set it up, exit Sys. Prefs and then go back into the pane, it has selected the Apple "Nature" screensaver, even after i deleted the .saver package from the system..
The only problem currently (which i hope is fixed)..
