Tiger and the Student Scholarship for the WWDC

Well anybody here a student? I mean I just have to think it's pretty nice that I'll have to pay on 70 bucks for a full install of Tiger. But another question that I have is I'm a college Student and I'm strongly considering applying for the WWDC Student Scholarship. But here's the thing I don't have a 100 student membership and lastly I'm a history major/computer science minor. Anyways, does apple prefer to have people who are CS majors?? But I'm still pretty Tech savvy and would love an opptunity to do this. So, overall is it worth my time to put down a hundred dollars and buy the student ADC membership and then apply or am I wasting my time?

As I posted on the WWDC Student thread, I was part of the program in 2003 and found it to be extremely worth while. As a developer, you will get the OS for free, so Tiger should be included in your membership. You may want to review all the goodies you get as a developer, even at the $99 student level! :)

You also get a *very* valuable hardware discount, which can save you a nice chunk of change on a new Mac system to develop on.

I don't think choice of major is going to exclude you, as long as you have reasons as to why you feel you should be part of the program.

Consider it this way, if you get Tiger as part of your Dev pack (please confirm that they won't just send you Panther, but that they'll give you the update later as well!), its only costing you about $29 more to get the whole year membership. Its well worth it!
