I'm using a MacBook, three years of age with an extended guarantee. The operating system is Mas OSX ver. 10.4.10 and the computer is equipped with an Fire-Wire connection. As the computer has certain deficiencies I have to send i away. As I need my MacBook daily I created a Disk-image of the HD on an external HD and bought an brand new MacBook equipped with MacOSX ver. 10.5.5. The new one is lacking the fast Fire-Wire connection. I want to know how to mount my Disk-image on my new computer to make it identical to the old one? What will happen to the operating system - will the computer run on 10.4.10? If so is it possible to install the 10.5.5 from the DVD that was delivered together with the MacBook?
