i have to admit it is nice to see roxio giving this product good support like this. it almost makes up for not having packet writing for mac. which seems to be the #1 thing new mac users whine about in roxio's help forums.;)
 
packet writing allows your cd-rw to act just like a hard drive. you can add and delete files just like you would any other drive. it would be a nice feature but so far nobody has gotten it to work reliably on the mac platform. roxio used to make direct-cd for mac but withdrew it because of all the problems people have with it.
i still find this strange since mac is the original drag and drop os.:confused:
 
I wonder how important packet-writing is these days, with the integration of DiscBurner in to the Finder. WinXP has similar functionality, BTW... In either situation, it only adds the burn step to the process. Personally, I don't mind the loss of packetwriting, because the trade-off is being able to say "never mind", and remove the files from the proposed CD.
