Too many loads on the USB ports?

I have 3 thing connected to my USB ports on my iMac. Sometimes I get a message that there isn't enough USB capacity (something like that) left, and one of the items stop working, forcing me to unplug it. What's this caused by? Can't my iMac even work with 3 USB items plugged?

Depends on what they are. If they're drawing too much power then you can use a powered hub, one that supplies it's own power.

*Line6 TonePort (transfers the audio signal to my stereo)

If this is your number 3 http://line6.com/toneport/kb37.html it looks like it might be kind of power hungry. I can't find specs for power consumption on the site though.

Like I said you can try a powered USB hub, they're cheap, I have one I paid $20 for.
