Trail Download of Dreamweaver MX 5.0 now is out!

Quit complaining! Some of us are ecstatic to see 4.5 KBps! :)

Darn young whippersnappers with those fancy high speed connections don't know what it's like in the old days. No, you think you have it so tough, why when I was younger we had to carry the bits by hand in a bit bucket from one place to another!

;)

Sorry to hear you're all getting slow download times. Got the trial in 10 minutes here, 20.00hrs GMT.

The installer's Get Info says it was created May 1st. Time warp!

I've played with the programme the last ten minutes and it's a good looking interface. There's some tricks in it like drag 'n' drop for form elements and such, but I haven't got very far yet. It 'feels' easier and faster to use than the OS 9 version 4.

Favourite Thing about this new version (so far): unlike FlashMX, I can actually use the prog without having to read another blasted new manual to find out how it works all over again! I hope that doesn't change with the final release.

Not a particularly helpful post, I know, just thought I'd chime in.

I don't know if you were talking about me or not, but I wasn't complaining. 66k/sec. is a good speed for my 1 meg modem. I was telling changomarcelo that speeds were good this morning.

I'm not a "power" dreamweaver user. I maintain a very simple personal web about my saltwater reef tank.

I've been waiting for dreamweaver to come out because it's the standard where I work.

Anyway, the program is not slow. People who know my posts know I am rarely happy with the speed of my computer. However, dreamweaver is quick and they are to be commended.

It did it's job in general. I could edit the page in wysiwyg or in standard html. It crashed when I tried to caulerpa (a type of algae) to my personal dictionary.

Anyway, give it a try. It's fast and dreamweaver leads the market for a reason. It's a good program.

Vanguard

PS It downloaded quickly for me on 4/30.
