I wouldn't trust the Altavista translator or any current translation program for anything important. It's worth is probably in understanding text/webpages in languages you are not familiar with. Don't use it to create text somebody <i>else</i> is supposed to read.
You'll see what I mean if you have it translate some (not too simple) text from English to say, German, and then back in to English.
Here's an example: I used the Altavista translator (
http://babel.altavista.com/) to translate the following text into German:
"I'm a bit in a hurry and I don't have time to go out and buy one, so if there is a shareware or demo program I would like to know."
Translating back into English:
"I am not a point in a haste and I have time to expire and purchase one, thus, if there is a shareware or a demo program, I would like to know."
Anyway, Altavista doesn't do Danish...
