I was clearing out some redunant files from when I instralled a new hard drive in my titanium powerbook and I noticed that I had two identical library folders. I trashed the wrong one and my computer froze a minute later. When I restarted the computer it went into panic mode and would not start up. I tried to reload 10.2 onto my computer but it gets stuck in the final optimizing stage of the process (I'm was running 10.3.8 on the system before it crashed but only have my 10.2 original system disks with me in France, where I just moved last week for the next 5 months). Now when I start it up all I get is a blue screen without a dock or any functionality. I think that I could probably fix this by firewiring my harddrive from another mac but I don't know of any other mac users since I just moved here. Is there another way to fix this without erasing my hard drive?
