I installed Bootcamp successfully a few months ago when I first got my macbook and it ran smooth for a while. I then noticed that the partitioned windows drive would change its ammount of free space, I would uninstall a 5kb file and it would give me another 1gb of space or if I installed a new program that was say...500mb it would tell me that I didnt have enough space. Sensing something was wrong I reformated and reinstalled OS X.

Now that it is reinstalled I want to give Bootcamp another try the thing is when I attempt to partition i get an error that says my hard disk needs to be repaired. When I attempt to verify I get this message:

Verifying volume “Untitled”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
%)
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
Volume Header needs minor repair
The volume Untitled needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair

So right now I have no idea what to do.

Thank You for all help in advance.

Does it work If you repair the disk in the Mac OS X setup? Did these errors occur right after you setup Mac OS X was there time between the two?

It sounds like you have a bad hard drive. What you can do is if the Mac OS X cd doesn't work then restart your computer with the dvd in the drive again and hold the "D" key down to boot into diagnostics and run the extended diagnostics.
