Trouble Trashing

i recently trashed a temporary folder, since its been in the trash can i have been unable to delete anything. When I select empty trash it says I do not have privledges to delete the file "O". Even when logged in under root user. Any ideas? I seem to be having locating things in terminal as well, maybe this is related

you might try using BatchMod to change the permissions of the offending file/folder. its a gui, but it solves the problem for me everytime.
