I am have some problems.....I am very very new to macs and I have a PowerPC G4 mini-mac...I am trying to upgrade from tiger to leopard...I place the dvd in the drive it pops up and I click install...from there is says to click rest and it rests the computer but it does not start the installation process..it just reboots back into tiger..When I got the mini mac the dealer gave me the Leopard disk..when I put the disk in its in there is a single file on it in a .DMG format...I dont know if that is preventing it from booting...I dont know I am very confused and would really like some help....Thank you

In order to use that disk to upgrade, you need to boot FROM it. With disk in the Mac, restart and hold down the 'C' key until you hear the Mac accessing the disk. Then wait until it boots to the main screen. Could be up to 10 minutes. Follow the directions on screen.
