Turbotax Deluxe 2002 won't run on OS8.6

I've installed the program, but it wont start properly. It usually freezes my mac just after the menu becomes visible. All my other programs run fine. I've tried un-installing/re-installing and manually doing the installs. I've tried the default location of the program folder in the applications folder. I've been sent a replacement cd, but it doesnt work either. Help!

It could be that TuboTax needs more memory allocated to it before it runs.
After installing, go to the system folder>Preferences and trash any pref file for TurboTax.
Now go to the TurboTax folder and click once on the main icon to highlight it. Go to the file menu>Get Info>memory. Click once in the preferred memory box and add 5,000 k to the number that is already there. Close the window, then try starting it.
