Hi-- I've got a G4 533 (gigabit ethernet). It shipped with a CD-ROM drive, and then I went out and bought a Plextor 16/10/40a CD-RW.
I couldn't believe it when I first opened up the G4 to find that the slot right under the CD slot was tiny, so you could only fit a zip drive or disk drive in there... I was sure you could put two CDs in there when I bought the computer.
...anyway, I am thinking about somehow taking off the metal sides of the zip drive slot so that I could accommodate both of my drives... but I think I heard somewhere that I might run into problems with heat. Does anyone know if this is the case?
