All the sudden 2 days ago the fans on my Power Mac G5 started revving up and running loudly every couple of minutes. I've had this machine for almost 3 years now and its never done this before. I downloaded thermograph and it turns out that the temperature of the U3 heatsink runs between 147 and 150 degrees. When the temp hits 150 the fans kick on until the temperature goes back down to 147, then in about 1 minutes the temp reaches 150 again and the cycle continues.
I have a feeling this is a sign that something is going bad on my computer since this is a new thing. Anyone have ideas or experience with this issue?
