Snowball
Switched the Other Way
A PC company called Northwood just introduced this hideous blatant copy of the iMac (blatant in that even their comments to newspapers describe how it's a better deal than the Apple's offering.)
And I quote:
"The Californian company said its new Integra, "crosses the boundaries between the PC industry to home entertainment and a wide range of digital multimedia uses." They reckon it'll knock nicely-coloured spots off Apple's i- and eMacs."
Sorry, but this whole thing is totally inferior to the iMac for one reason - the iApps! It is a nightmare trying to do what they say on Windows compared to Apple's iApps which have: ease of use, functionality right after installation with no machine-specific setup, and best of all, are FREE. While this PC clone's tech specs are decent, the lack of iApps will make this much less appealing to the consumers they are trying to compete for.
[EDIT: another great quote:
"A spokesman for the company said the integrated P4 processor would "run circles around" the Apple iMac G4. "It does not even belong on the same performance chart," he added. "]
Yeah, right. I would like to see near-real time DVD encoding on that ugly pos.
