Ultra 100 TX2 Controller from Promise.com

Hi!
I got the Ultra100 TX2 Controller from Promise. ( http://www.promise.com )

I want to use it for a Quantum IDE-Volume on my PPC 8600.
I installed the card into a PCI slot and hoped that it will work.
But it didn't.

Maybe you think that this is very logical, but I don't know why.
I hope you can help me, and tell me what to do!

From the info I could find on that card it is listed everywhere as a PC only card. Which makes sense because I dont know of any ATA adapter cards that work with both PC and Mac. You might want to try a card from http://www.sonnettech.com these cards are Mac compatible and priced around $100. They also support up to ATA133 standards.
