by accident i engaged "secure empty trash". it has been running for 12 hours. i can't make it stop and i didn;t want it anyway. i tried to force quit so i culd shut down. the only way to do anything is to interrupt the action. mac help says NOT to interrupt. so the computer is on all the time. it's a mac osx 10.4.7. i feel like i could just let it keep going but what if it never stops because it's hung up on something. i am not good enough to install or re install anything i just want a quick and dirty thing to make it stop...help
