unable to reinstall VMware 5.5.3

Hi,
I have installed VMWare 5.5.3 in my machine last month and uninstall within a week. Now I am not able to re install the same version or 5.5.1. Whem I click on icon to install, window is poping up and dis appearing. I need some one to guide me to reinstall the VM ware without any issue.
Your help is highly Appreciate

What software are you talking about? The only Mac OS X software VMware has in VMware Fusion, and the newest version of that is still 3.x.

Are you talking about VMware Workstation, or if something else, which software?
Where do you have it installed?

Guessing it's Workstation 5.5.3 (a rather old version..), uninstall the old version first. If in Windows, from usual Control Panel > add or remove programs, if in Linux the usual way you remove installed apps. Man pages are your best friend.
After the application is removed, restart that physical machine.
Now reinstall.
After reinstall is complete, restart the physical machine again.

If the application you are using is VMware Workstation, why do you want to use such old version?
