How can I install Unix programs on the Mac using OS X? I am a complete novice so I need step by step instructions and tell me what programs are available
also you can find some ports at macosx.forked.net and www.osxgnu.org (latter holds also OSXPM, a package installer/viewer/deinstaller - extreme caution needed, I fucked my system uninstalling X 10.1.5 update...and did not have image mounted so I could have reinstalled it right away)
