unwanted changes

Sorry to start a new thread on this, i did search for a similar thread but didnt seem to come up with anything. Basically, when i press 'ctrl' and click to save and image it used to give me the option to save the picture to a specific place but now it only gives me the option to 'save image to desktop' 'open image in a new window' or 'copy image'. It's very annoying as my desktop gets clogged with jpegs, i then have to open each one individually and rename them, then put them into a folder. I'm sure i used to be able to choose the file names and where to save them to..like a 'save as' type option, like windows.

Also, when i open up an image in preview it has the option to go 'back/forward' as if you can scroll through the jpegs/gifs etc in a certain folder but it wont let me click it..this means i have top open up each photo individually which is also time consuming..help would be appreciated.

We need more information. What programs are you doing the Ctrl-Click in?? Is it a browser?? Which browser?

As for the images, you might want to use iPhoto for that, since Preview is basically just that: to preview a file. iPhoto wil give you more options for manipulating the images you download.

Safari 1.3 changes the default option from save as to save to download folder. You can still specify the download location by holding down the option key while control-clicking a link.
