updated to 10.2.6 with date wrong - need advice

I had a power outage last week and didn't realize the date was wrong when I rebooted. It got set to 1970. This caused an authentication certificate date error when I installed itunes 4.0 and tried to use the store. Unfortunately I tried upgrading to 10.2.6 to fix the problem before I noticed the date error. Anyway, now I am worried that I have a bunch of installed files in the OS with a 1970 date on them and they may cause some problems.

Can I used the "update combo to 10.2.6" to overwrite my current system and clean up any date problems that might have occured?

Any other advice regarding problems I might have if I don't update the dates?

No new program will install unless you put in a newer date.
You can go into the System preferences and just change the date, and everything should be fine!

Did it work for you? Or did you try the combo update? I just used the 10.2.6 combo update over 10.2.6 myself to see if it would fix a few problems with a few apps that were acting a little quirky.

If you are still stuck in 1970, see if you can buy stocks at 1970 prices! :)
