updates -> can no longer drive monitor at same resolution

i'm really confused as to how the hell a quicktime/itunes update could have caused this... but I was previously running my display at 1280x1024@75 Hz... and after rebooting it won't go any higher than 60 Hz (quite the bloody pain in the eyes)... what the heck happened!

I've always wondered. Why 1280x1024? That's not 4:3. 1280x960 is though.

As to your question. I don't know. That's weird. Tried a diff monitor? Same monitor on a diff box?
