I had my old 2004 Mac Power PC G4 updated 7 years ago to OS X Panther, 10.3. It has worked great and the old thing has never had to be repaired. Only problem is internet & web like Facebook, FireFox and Explorer. Would it help to have it updated again to OS X 10.5? I have to now use Safari.
