Upgrade from 10.3.x panther

Hi all,got a steal of a deal on on another(my 6th) ibook g4. this one dates to mid '04. its had the ram and HDD upgraded but is still running pather. on my others i installed the bigger drives and ram and did a fresh install of panther on the upgraded to 10.4 and a few to 10.5. the previous owner was a total incompentant with a mac and lost the discs and all that. on top of that they set up the admin account but lost the password and it hasnt had a upgrade in close to 4 years. i gave away all of my panther discs quite some time ago. its looking like this $50 g4 is gonna be a money pit lol

if anyone has any insite id be much abligied.
 
i got it sorted. i used terminal commands to make a new sudo user account. its not as much as a slug with the updates lol. 10.3.x is still dated and it will be comming off shortly.
