Upgraded to 10.3 and now Burner not recognized

Just Upgraded to Panther and all the update downloads. I try to use my TKY CDRW Drive and it doesnt recognize with my software for burning. So I check the system and it seems my firewire ports in about this mac and they are not reading anything except Firewire device. I didnt have this problem until I upgraded, can any help.
 
Something to do with if the cd-rw was connected when you updated your system? I'm sure I saw this problem somewhere in another thread but with another device. Try disconnecting it, rebooting, then plug it back in maybe? I'd wait for someone more qualified on these things than me to reply though because I'm probably wrong ! :D
 
For CDRW, you should upgrade to MacOSX firmware before upgrading OS or software. Mac OSX only supports DVD-RW or CD-RW with Apple firmware.
