Upgrading Sawtooth G4 > Sonnet 1.2 GHz

Well, I finally called up MacMall and inquired about their 1.0 GHz PowerLogix "Series 100" upgrade... the guy pretty much steered me towards the Sonnet upgrades citing the fact that they got some PowerLogix upgrades back. He said Sonnet processor upgrades have been pretty solid.

So... that's what I bought. A 1.2 GHz Encore/ST G4 Series. Cost me $410.10 after shipping (I always get the cheapest shipping).

Anyway, Yay for me! :D (I wonder if I can run Halo now...)

Well, it sure did! I installed it very easily and things are noticably faster. Startup was like <really> fast compared to before, and things just seem to work better. The Warcraft III demo is actually playable now! I think I'll hold off on Halo once I get a demo.

And sleep works perfectly, by the way. I understand sleep sometimes does not on upgrade cards.
